Innovative Material Mainly Made of Limestone
LINEAR PLASTIC ECONOMY
The most common form of Plastic Packaging Flow currently is the LINEAR PLASTIC ECONOMY.
Non-Renewable Materials are taken from the earth, converted into chemical component, then used to produce products and packaging, then distributed in the market. The consumer then will use it and dump it. The plastic waste will then just linger around the earth still in its form since plastic doesn’t degrade or decompose up to 500 years.
This means that most plastic that was ever produced are still somewhere around the environment one way or another. The term Plastic Clean Up does not mean the plastic is eliminated from the earth, it just means it is being hidden (allocated) somewhere else. At the rate we are going, by 2050, there will be more plastic than fishes in the ocean. Thus, we need to minimize the production of plastic to save the earth and future generation.
This GLOBAL CRISIS calls for desperate need of PLASTIC ALTERNATIVES or PLASTIC REPLACEMENT.
KEMAS has been in journey towards environmental reform and sustainability for these past years. Compared to using petroleum-derived plastic, there is a significant reduction in carbon emission when using LIMEX. It is an innovative new material mainly made from limestone and inorganic materials . Its procurement process is only producing one-fiftieth (1/50) carbon emission compared to petrochemical. Limestone is a natural material that has an abundance of deposits all over the world.
